Researching tools and woodworking resources can be time consuming and confusing. I've curated a list of some of my favorite tools and resources to help out the person that may be just getting started. Everyone has his own opinion and preference when it comes to these things--these are mine. I encourage you to get your hands dirty and form your own opinions.

Turning Tools
- Carter and Son Toolworks bowl gouges: 3/4 and 5/8" parabolic bowl gouges hand-ground with a 40/40 grind; 5/8 U-shaped bottom bowl gouge ground at 50 degrees
- Robert Sorby 1" skew chisel ground at 50 degree included angle (used as a negative rake scraper).
